EVENTS:

This is an open category whereby competition is determined by sex and weight.

Men: Women:

Men up to 154 lbs. Women up to 121 lbs.

Men 155 lbs. to 176 lbs. Women 122 lbs. to 143 lbs.

Men 177 lbs. to 198 lbs. Women 144 lbs. and up

Men 199 lbs. to 220 lbs.

Men 221 lbs. to 242 lbs.

Men 243 lbs. and up

Left Handed:

Men up to 176 lbs.

Men 177 lbs to 220 lbs.

Men 221 lbs. & over

BRACKETS:

Double elimination.

COMPETITION DURATION:

Competition usually lasts for 3 hours. The weigh-in is for one hour.

GENERAL RULES:

    The contest shall be performed on a table approximately 44" high, 24" square, and anchored at the base. Elbow cups or pads shall be available to compensate for varying arm lengths.

    The contestants face each other, grasping the base of each other’s thumb and with wrists exactly perpendicular.

    The opposite hands shall grip the peg on the contestants left side of the table.

    The referee will place the wrists and forearm in such a position as to be equidistant from the contestants’ shoulders and the wrists in a straight upright position.

    The signal to start will be a two count – "Ready, Go".

    The elbows must remain on the elbow cup squares (6" x 6") at all times.

    Default consists of failure to keep elbow contact with cups or loss of grasp of thumbs.

    One default constitutes a defeat.

    One fall determines a winner.

    Time limit may be set.

    A winner is declared when one contestant forces his opponent’s forearm to the pin pad.
