BASKETBALL

GUIDING BODIES:
Law Enforcement Games & 
NCAA (with modifications)

EVENT:
Teams will consist of fifteen (15) members and one non-playing coach.. Competition is offered in Men’s Open, Men’s +40 and Women’s divisions. 

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Uniforms: All teams must wear some type of uniform. Uniforms should be numbered front and back. Advertisement on the uniform is discouraged.

A copy of these rules will be provided to the coaches at each game site.

The basketball coordinator at each gym will discuss the unsportsmanlike rules with the coaches.  Unsportsmanlike conduct such as any serious violation (fighting, violence towards players or officials) will result in suspension from the games.

Protests:  Judgment calls may not be protested. Only eligibility of players may be protested by the opposing team. Protests must be made in writing no later than fifteen (15) minutes after the protested game has ended and be accompanied by a $100 protest fee. The $100 protest fee will be returned if protest is won.

Time outs: Two per half and they may not be saved up for the last half.

Game Time: The game will be played in two twenty minute halves with a ten minute intermission between halves. A running clock will be used except for foul shots, time-outs, and long delays.  Clock stops during last two minutes of the game for all violations.  Foul shots will start on the 7th foul (1 & 1) and two foul shots begin after the 10th foul.
