EVENTS:

There are two age categories: Open is 18-35 and Master is 35+ years of age. No GI competitors are classified by either Beginner or Advanced. Beginner No GI has 0-3 years of Grappling experience. Advanced No GI has 3+ years of experience. GI competitors are classified by: GI White Belt, GI Blue belt, GI Purple belt, or GI Brown/Black belt. Competitors will also be matched up according to weights. Lightweight is 174 & under, Middleweight is 175-199 and Heavyweight is 200+.

FORMAT:

Single Elimination. Competitors may compete in only one age category, but may compete in both GI and No GI categories.

COMPETITION DURATION:

Competition will usually last for six (6) hours.

GENERAL RULES: Beginner No GI has 0-3 years of Grappling experience and will compete in a 5 minute bout. Advanced No GI has 3+ years of experience and will compete in a 6 minute bout. GI White Belt will compete for 5 minutes, GI Blue belt will compete for 6 minutes, GI Purple belt will compete for 6 minutes, GI Brown/Black belt will compete for 7 minutes.   Cups and mouthpiece required.  Wrestling shoes and knee pads can be worn but not required.
