RACQUETBALL

 

 

GUIDING BODIES:
Law Enforcement Games
United States Racquetball Association (USRA)

EVENTS:
Competition is offered in singles and doubles to men in the following age categories: 18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & up. Competition is offered in singles and doubles to women in the following age categories: 18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49 and 50 & up. Any mixed doubles will compete in the men’s division.

BRACKETS:
Competition will consist of double elimination with match being the best two out of three games. Fifteen (15) point games and the tiebreaker game is eleven (11) points.

GENERAL RULES:

      The winner of each match will officiate the following match.

      Game time is forfeit time – no grace periods

      Racquet guards are mandatory at most facilities

      "No colored soled shoes" is the general rule at most facilities

      Mixed doubles will compete in the men’s division.

      Contestants are allowed to compete in one (1) division of both singles and doubles competition.

      Eye protection is mandatory and must be worn properly while playing.

       

COMPETITION DURATION:

Competition is for five (5) days and lasts about ten (10) hours per day using morning competition for singles and afternoon competition for doubles.
