The Florida Law Enforcement Games was established in 1985.

The Florida Police and Fire Games are open to Florida law enforcement, firefighters, and military (active duty, reserves, National Guard and retirees from all military branches). These games are held the third full week each June. There are approximately 5,000 competitors representing over 200 different agencies competing in 45+ olympic-style sporting events.
